Forgotten Your Password? Don’t Panic.
So, you’ve forgotten your password and now you can’t log in.
To quote one of my favourite books:

IF YOU’VE JUST FORGOTTEN YOUR PASSWORD
No big deal — it happens to the best of us. Just head over to this link and reset it:
You’ll need access to your email for this to work. If you can’t remember which email you used… well, that’s a different problem. We’ll get to that.
IF YOU CAN’T ACCESS YOUR EMAIL
Trickier — but not hopeless. You’ll need to contact support:

Include as much detail as you can:
- Your username
- Approximate account creation date
- Any other useful details (like that time you misspelled your character’s name and just rolled with it)
The more breadcrumbs you give us, the better chance we have of helping you out.
IF YOU’RE USING THE WRONG ACCOUNT DETAILS
It happens more often than you’d think. Maybe you’ve got an old account knocking about or you’ve logged into the wrong one.
Double-check your login details and make sure you’re not trying to use an alt, or old pre-alpha account from 2023. (Yes, those still exist.)
IF YOU LET YOUR FRIEND BORROW YOUR ACCOUNT
Ah, yes. The “friend”.
The one who was totally just going to farm some gold but somehow ended up wearing only their underwear in the middle of a lava pit.
Look — we get it. But account sharing is strictly against the terms of use, and we can’t reverse any damage done. Best thing you can do now is reset your password and have a long think about your life choices.

IF YOU TRADED YOUR ACCOUNT AND GOT SCAMMED
If you handed over your account to someone called “LegitTrader420”, changed your mind and now you’re locked out… yeah.
Account trading is strictly prohibited for a reason. We can’t recover anything if you’ve lost your account or items this way.

IF YOU GOT HACKED
First, if you can still log in to your account, then reset your password immediately.
If you can still access your account, enable two-factor authentication — it’s the best way to stop this happening again.
If the hacker’s already caused chaos (missing items, strange purchases, mysterious messages of undying love in your mailbox), or your email and password are no longer working, then contact support:

We’ll do what we can — but it is a difficult process restoring items and gold. We cannot guarantee account restoration, any or the full amount of items and gold. We will do what we can in the given circumstances, but please temper expectations accordingly.
IF YOUR ACCOUNT GOT BANNED
If you logged in to find yourself banned and genuinely have no idea why (really?), reach out to support.
But — and this is important — be honest. We have logs. If you were caught cheating, spamming, or doing something suspicious, support will know.
Still worth asking if you think it’s a mistake. Just don’t lead with “I didn’t do anything wrong” — that’s what everyone says.
IF SOMEONE IS ASKING FOR YOUR PASSWORD
STOP.
No one from AEGIS will ever ask for your password. Not through email, not through in-game chat, not even if they sound really convincing and promise you free loot.
If someone’s asking for your login info, they’re trying to scam you. Block them, report them, and do not engage.
IF YOU’RE JUST REALLY CONFUSED
If none of the above applies and you’re still staring at your screen like it owes you money — just reach out to support.

REMEMBER TO BREATHE
Passwords are tricky beasts, and yeah — losing access to your account can feel like someone’s unplugged your entire life. We get it.
But here’s the thing — when you contact support, you’re talking to a real human being. Not a chatbot, not some automated script — an actual person who plays the game too. They want to help you.
But you need to be kind to them.
We know it’s frustrating when things go wrong, but yelling at support won’t fix it faster — and they’re under no obligation to keep talking if you start dishing out abuse. We have a ZERO ABUSE policy at AEGIS, and we’re not afraid to enforce it.
We will never ask you for your password.
If someone claiming to be from AEGIS asks for your password, they’re lying. Or they’ve been hacked. Either way — don’t give it to them.
